Macau's Casino Industry Wins $2B In JuneNO Deposit bonus $43

Gambling in Macau yielded 15.9 billion patacas, or $2 billion USD, through the month of June, in line with figures released by the city’s Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau.

The amount was an 8.5-percent decrease in comparison to June 2015 and likewise marked 25 straight months of year-over-year gaming revenue decline within the former Portuguese colony. Macau had a record $45.2 billion in gaming revenue in 2013, which, at that peak, was roughly four times the Nevada gambling market.

According to Bloomberg, the $2 billion was the smallest win for the casinos since September 2010. Though, the industry’s focus has shifted to non-high rollers, as a result of government pressure, and the gambling market is predicted to rebound after the outlet of recent projects from Wynn Macau and Sands China. Either one of those projects are slated to open this year.

Bloomberg reported recently that gaming win still represents about 90 percent of the Macau casino industry’s total revenue, greater than double the proportion that gaming win accounts for in Nevada’s casino industry.
