In less than an hour they've gone from 11 down to an unofficial final table of nine here at the LAPT Bahamas Main Event where start-of-day chip leader Josh Kay has maintained his advantage thus far.

Shortly after play began, a hand arose on the outer table that saw Taylor Paur open with a raise, Frey push all in with his roughly 15-big blind stack, and (after thinking a few beats) Paur call the shove.

Paur had A♦5♦ while Frey needed help with his K♠J♥. But the flop came 9♣7♠3♦, the 5♠ fell on the turn, and the river Q♦ was of no use for Frey who fell in 11th.

Not long after that knockout Aaron Massey found himself all in and at risk with A♣Q♣ versus A♠K♣ with a board showing 2♦A♦T♣4♥2♥, and Massey moved over to the rail in 10th. Like Frey, Massey earned $22,760 for his efforts.

With nine players left they are pausing proceedings in order to redraw and reassemble around a not-quite-final final table of nine players.
