Bodog Casino It has been over a month since the US crackdown on online poker sites, but the effects are still being felt around the world. Many online casinos that had previously taken US players stopped doing so after Black Friday, and it is the players that have suffered.
It used to be normal to see five to ten jackpots a day hit at US friendly casinos, but since the indictments of PokerStars and Full Tilt, the jackpots have slowed. Conventional wisdom says the jackpots have slowed because less online casinos are serving the US market.
"Any time there is a major shakeup like the one that occurred several weeks ago, it is a natural progression that other sites are going to be cautious for a while when it comes to accepting US players," said Online Casino Expert Noah Black. "This will likely go on for another couple of months, and then we should see action pick up again at the online casinos."
There are still a handful of jackpots that have been hit over the weekend at US friendly casinos. Lucky Red Casino had a jackpot of almost $5,000 hit on their Lucky Red : New York game. Manhattan Slots : Soho paid a smaller jackpot of $2,842.
Bodog Casino had one of the larger jackpots hit this past week on their Let 'Em Ride poker game. The $104,397 jackpot showed that gamblers may have shifted from traditional online poker sites, to casinos that have variations of the game such as Let 'Em Ride.
The poker game was popular this past week not only at Bodog, but also at Club USA Casino. A jackpot of $172,887 was hit on Friday. Club USA also paid jackpots of $2,197, and $6,161.
