Five things from the sector of PokerStars heading into the weekend.

The bubble burst within the WSOP main event last night, marking the rough midway point as greater than 6,700 players attempt to join the general nine.

It's also the midway point of our own coverage from the primary event, which up to now has produced some great writing from our team of Brad Willis and Howard Swains.

Highlights thus far include stories about Chris Moneymaker, Jen Shahade, and just about everything done off and on the table by Daniel Negreanu.

And who're the important thing PokerStars figures to follow over that time?

Well on the close of play last night/this morning (etc. etc.), five Team Pros had reached the money and can be back for Day 4.

As Howard Swains reported, Ladouceur's count is within reach of current leader Kenny Hallaert with 1.7 million, and good for 11th place overall.

MicroMillions is back, the tournament series open to even the smallest of bankrolls and which is able to turn those nickels and dimes you locate down the back of the sofa, in that little tray next to the dashboard, or unclaimed within the vending machine coin dispenser into thousands.

There are 90 tournaments planned for the 12th incarnation of the championship, which begins this Sunday for 2 weeks on PokerStars.

The micro-stakes online festival features six events an afternoon with buy-ins from $0.11 to $5.50, except the $22 No Limit Hold'em Main Event on July 31, which includes a $1 million guaranteed prize.

There are high stakes in Las Vegas, low stakes online within the Micro Millions, leaves the Sunday Majors to fill that middle bit.

As always there's a full slate of events planned for the weekend, culminating within the Sunday Million, won last week by Luke Schwartz, who collected $130,000 for an even day's work.

It's not all concerning the Sunday Million, with an extended list of weekend events happening at various buy-ins, to be present in the Tournament Lobby.

As we reported last week PokerStars has announced its second $1 million freeroll, set to happen this Sunday at 12:04 ET.
