Caesars Entertainment Corp. is in advanced talks about selling Caesars Interactive Entertainment, its online gaming division, to a consortium that comes with China’s Giant Interactive Group, in step with a report from Bloomberg.
The discussions are for a worth tag of greater than $4 billion, the report said.
The sale wouldn't include the arena Series of Poker, a source told Bloomberg. CIE owns the WSOP, an annual tournament festival that concluded just days ago in Las Vegas.
It was reported back in May by The Wall Street Journal that Caesars the parent company, that is fascinated by the bankruptcy technique of its largest operating unit, was considering a sale of CIE.
