Much have been written during MicroMillions about low buy-ins becoming big pay-outs, and it is all true. But there's another advantage to those inexpensive entry fees, that do not depend on the following big win to be deemed useful. They present a very good opportunity to develop skills in games you could not ordinary get a possibility to play, no less than not in a competitive environment.
Results from yesterday provided a really perfect example.
Event #59 was a Stud tournament. For players weaned on hold'em and looking out to construct confidence and experience in another type of the sport for $1.10, this was a golden opportunity, because the field size of 6,621 suggests.
Of course, someone always has to win, and hence it was Norwegian player bollemus picking up a primary prize just shy of $1,000. For others it was an opportunity to play, gain some experience, and all at minimal expense.
There are more of those "non-hold'em" events to come back within the final third of the MicroMillions 12 schedule, including tournaments in various kinds of Omaha, triple draw and HORSE. Take a look at the MicroMillions homepage for details and provides them a try.
