Quoss winning another high roller
They'll be no second super high roller title of the festival for Ole Schemion after Fabian Quoss made quick work of turning around his younger opponent. Schemion still managed a victory of kind by securing a deal that suggests he's taking home the bigger share of the prize pool.
The final hand saw Schemion move all-in for 4.8 million from the button and Quoss snap call from the large blind.

The story of yesterday
Play started at 12:30pm and lots of tables filled up so much quicker than they did last season. Players knew that it was a single re-entry turbo tournament with 30-minute levels and that (unquestionably) affected the way in which the players approached the sport. Of course, someone needed to come tenth and that person was British pro Max Silver. He was left very short upon getting unlucky to double up David Peters after which he found an ace in late position. He moved all in along with his ace-deuce but, then chip leader Holz, called with ace-seven within the blinds and sent him to the rail.
Once the bubble burst there has been no shortage of action, however the eliminations didn't come as fast as expected, mainly as a result of a high percentage of doubles ups. Five of the overall nine held the chip lead at one stage because the chips were passed across the table. The ambience was very relaxed though because the pressure of cashing was off their shoulders. Quoss opened to 500,000 and Schemion defended his big blind. The flop fanned 7♠6♣A♦ and Schemion check-raised Quoss' 350,000 c-bet as much as 775,000. Call. The turn was the 9♠ and Quoss called a 900,000 bet before betting 1.6 million at the J♣ river when Schemion checked to him. The super high roller champion from yesterday cut out the calling chips and perceived to build himself up before making the call.

Max Silver has moved up over one million after creating a great call against Murad Akhundov.
Akhundov opened to 35,000 from utg+1 and it folded to Max Silver within the cutoff. He made it 100,000, to play and both Dan Cates (big blind) and Akhundov came along.
The flop came the 4♣K♥2♣ and everybody checked, so the dealer burned and turned the J♥. Now Akhundov checked and Silver put out a delayed c-bet of 165,000. Akhundov took his shades off to get a greater have a look at Silver and his chips, before making the call.
The river was the T♦ and Akhundov led for 260,000. Silver was clearly installed a tricky spot, and thought for a few minutes, squirming all of the while. Eventually though, he talked himself into creating a call and it turned out to be a super one. "Nice call," announced Akhundov as he tabled just the A♦2♦, and Silver's K♠Q♥ was best.

I arrived on the table to search out a pot in development between old friends Steve O'Dwyer and Justin Bonomo. The board showed the 3♥4♠8♠8♦9♣ and Bonomo had led into the 85,000 with basically a pot-sized bet - 80,000. O'Dwyer was within the tank after I get there and remained so for a few minutes. Bonomo had left himself just 28,000 behind - something which O'Dwyer mentioned aloud in his though process.

5:35pm: Musta and Holz bust just in time to re-enter, Juanda in lastLevel 9 - Blinds 2,500/5,000 (500 ante)
Mustapha Kanit and Fedor Holz were the last two players to bust, they usually did so previous to the top of level 8 so were allowed to re-enter.
Dan Shak took care of Kanit when he spiked a queen at the river with king-queen. Kanit had bet turn (an 8) and all-in at the river with ace-eight. Holz three-bet all-in with 8♠9♠ and was called by Byron Kaverman who had opened wth K♦J♠.
John Juanda was the last player to enter, for the primary time, and it looks as if the overall collection of entries is 70 but we're waiting conformation on that. -- MC
5:20pm: Quoss' rockets carry him to a double-upLevel 9 - Blinds 2,500/5,000 (500 ante)
Andrew Pantling called Fabian Quoss' all-in pre-flop with the Q♥Q♦; only trouble was that Quoss had the A♦A♥.
The board ran out J♣J♦7♥T♥J♥ and Quoss doubled to 140,000, while Pantling now has 130,000. --JS

5pm: Newey takes one from SchemionLevel 8 - Blinds 2,000/4,000 (500 ante)
Ole Schemion and Paul Newey, either one of whom made the general table of the 100K super high roller yesterday, are sat next to every other, and just had a battle of the blinds.
Schemion made it 10,000 to head and Newey matched it from the big, so that they saw a Q♥A♣K♣ flop fall. Schemion checked it to Newey who led for 15,000, and the German stared right at Newey intently - from about five inches away. He should have seen something as he made the call, and the 5♦ hit the turn. Newey bet 23,000 when it checked to him, and Schemion called - saving the dealer a role by taking his own change from Newey's bet. The 4♠ hit the river, and both checked so the cards were revealed.
Newey had the winner together with his A♦8♣, while Schemion showed his Q♦J♦ despite losing the pot. The Brit now has 255,000, while Schemion has 190,000. --JS

There are 60 remaining, and they've all now re-taken their seats. Erik Seidel has bought back in, as has Dan Shak who busted within the last hand of the last level. --JS

Ivan Luca made a move, but it surely didn't figure out for him and he busted.
The Argentine, who made the super high roller final table yesterday, opened to 6,600 from under the gun before Dominik Nitsche three-bet to 20,000 off the button. Luca tanked after which jammed for around 77,000. Call.

4:16pm: Thorel jams on Watson; Seidel bustsLevel 7 - Blinds 1,500/3,000 (400 ante)
The always colourful Jean-Noel Thorel just took a pleasing pot from SirWatts himself, Mike Watson.
Thorel opened to 7,000 and Watson three-bet to 18,500. Thorel went nowhere and the primary three community cards were the K♦5♥2♣. It went check-16,000-call after which both players checked the 6♠ turn. The Q♦ hit the river and Thorel jammed. Watson folded so fast we never even saw how much the shove was, but we do know that Thorel now has 170,000, while Watson is playing 128,000.
Meanwhile, Erik Seidel was eliminated. Apparently he got it in with a gutshot against Daniel Cates' flopped set and couldn't get there. --JS
4:10pm: First signs of Pique, but Kempe wins the potLevel 7 - Blinds 1,500/3,000 (400 ante)
We've been lingering around to catch Gerard Pique get in a hand, and we just caught one.
Andrew Pantling opened to 7,000 and Pique called at the button. Reiner Kempe then three-bet to 26,000 and both players folded.

What a begin to the tournament for Murad Akhundov. He's barely been in for 20 minutes and has already doubled up.
He opened to 6,000 and Fedor Holz came along at the button, taking us to a 6♣K♠2♣ flop. Akhundov checked it over to Holz who put out a c-bet of 13,000, and it was called.
Now we saw the 5♥ hit the turn and Akhundov checked all over again. Holz's bet increased to 21,500, but was raised to 81,000. Holz went nowhere.
The river was the 8♥ and Akhundov jammed all-in for 80,500. Holz didn't take too long to make the call, but was slightly grossed out when Akhundov turned over the 9♥7♥ for a runner-runner straight. Holz had led with the K♣Q♣, but sent most of his stack to his opponent.
The young German did be able to get lucky to double through Andrew Pantling at the very next hand, but he's still short with 30,000. Meanwhile, Akhundov has 400,000. --JS

Ivan Luca raised the button to 4,300 and Stephen Chidwick made the decision out of the small blind. The flop came the 8♣7♥A♠ and Chidwick checked to the raiser. Luca continued for 6,200 but Chidwick desired to play higher. He made it 20,000 to move and got a snappy fold from Luca. --JS

Charlie Carrel has just been eliminated. He started the hand by limping in, followed by a decision from Sergey Lebedev at the button and a check from Daniel Dvoress within the big blind. The flop came K♥6♠7♦ and it checked to Lebedev, who bet 3,500. Both called.
The turn was the 9♦ and now Dvoress led for 13,500. Both Carrel and Lebedev called to peer the 8♥ hit the river. Now Dvoress bogged down with a check, and Carrel shoved all-in for his last 43,400. Lebedev gave his hand up, and after you have a count Dvoress made the call.
Carrel turned over the A♦4♦ for a busted nut flush draw, while it was the K♦2♣ in front of Dvoress that may take it down. He's as much as 280,000 now, while Carrel exited the tournament room. --JS

There's some good battles happening over at Table 2. Thomas Muehloecker and Daviel Dvoress are developing a bit rivalry, as are Charlie Carrel and Sergey Lebedev.
In the last hand before the break Lebedev opened to 4,000 and was three-bet to 14,000 by Carrel within the small blind. Lebedev called and the flop fell T♦K♠3♦. Carrel opted to check, allowing Lebedev to take control with a 14,000 bet. Carrel made the call, the turn came the 2♥, and both players checked.
The A♣ hit the river, and Carrel checked yet again. Lebedev put out 35,000 and Carrel went into the tank, using up almost half his break to make his decision. He'd finally end up folding and leaving himself with 50,000, while Lebedev has 170,000. --JS
2:30pm: Vogelsang busts ThorelLevel 4 - Blinds 800/1,600 (200 ante)
Chips are flying. Christoph Vogelsang opened from early position to 4,000 and it folded to Jean-Noel Thorel within the big blind. He three-bet to 11,000, just for Vogelsang to then four-bet to 36,000. Thorel jammed for aruond 70,000, Vogelsang snap-called and the cards were on their backs:

I missed the action, but what I DID NOT miss was an entire load of chips heading Andrew Pantling's way. He'd managed to double through last year's 100K super high roller champ Erik Seidel with fives filled with nines and is as much as 260,000, while Seidel dropped to 82,000. --JS

Mikita Badziakouski kicked off the hand with a 3,000 open and it folded to Dario Sammartino within the big blind. He defended and the flop came the 8♣8♥T♦. It went check-bet 3,000-call, and the turn was the 7♥. Now Sammartino led for 6,500, only to then get raised to 20,000. He made the decision and eventually the board was completed by the 2♣. Sammartino checked - in hindsight, hoping Badziakouski would bet - but he checked and Sammartino appeared like he was going to muck his hand out of frustration. He actually had the 8♦7♦ for an entire house, while Badziakouski mucked.
Sammartino now has 220,000, while Badziakouski has 157,000. --JS

Patrik Antonius has just entered the poker site with gym bag at hand, looking like he's come straight from a piece out. He is taking his seat so we'll bring you a few of hands inside the day.

New entry Aidyn Auyezkanov opened to 3,500 at the button and both Jean-Noel Thorel and Erik Seidel called from the blinds. The flop came the 5♦Q♦6♥ and it checked around, leading to a 2♠ turn. Thorel checked and Seidel took a stab with 7,500. Auyezkanov let it go, but Thorel clicked it back to 15,000. It didn't take Seidel long to fold. --JS

1:37pm: Big pot for Adams leaves Silver wonderingLevel 2 - Blinds 500/1,000 (100 ante)
It's been an action packed begin to this event. Nick Petrangelo has busted, Charlie Carrel is already short with 80,000 left after losing a little bit pot to Christoph Vogelsang, and Timothy Adams has just picked up a pleasant pot from Max Silver.
Silver made it 2,500 to move at the button and Adams bumped up the cost of poker to 11,000. Silver desired to see a flop so came along, and it came all spades - the K♠5♠9♠. Adams continued for 14,000 and again Silver called.
To the turn we went, and it was the 7♣. Now the bet from Adams was 36,000, and Silver didn't long to compare it. The 9♥ landed at the river and Adams jammed for 123,500. Silver went into the tank, albeit not for too long. He moved in his chair to get a greater take a look at Adams as he ran in the course of the hand in his head. Whatever his though process, he ended making the fold leaving him with 115,000. Adams is as much as around 260,000 now. --JS
1:26pm: Getting stackedLevel 2 - Blinds 500/1,000 (100 ante)
This stacked field is now much more so. Fresh off his win yesterday within the €100,000 super high roller for greater than €1.5 million, Ole Schemion is now hoping to make it two in a row.
Joining him are Dominik Nitsche, Andrew Lichtenberger, Mike Watson, Haralabos Voulgaris, and Timofey 'Trueteller' Kuznetsov.

It was a brief first bullet for Nick Petrangelo. He got it all-in with pocket jacks against live satellite winner Michael Bonzon's pocket aces on a nine-high flop, and that was all she wrote. Petrangelo has the choice for an additional bullet, so we'll inform you if he returns. Bonzon is now our chip leader with double the starting stack. --JS

Players are being shuffled around as more people enter, and twin brothers Sam and Luc Greenwood have found themselves sat right next to every other.
Meanwhile, we picked up our first glimpse in their brother Max in action against Daniel Dvoress. The latter opened to 3,000 and Greenwood defended his big blind, taking us to a 6♥2♣A♥ flop. It checked to Dvoress who continued small for 1,700 and got a decision. The turn came the Q♥, which both checked, after which the Q♠ hit the river. It went check, bet 10,000, fold, and Dvoress raked within the chips. --JS

The No.1 ranked tournament player on the earth off to an even start in a high roller? No surprises there.
Andrew Pantling opened to 2,500 under the gun and it folded to Steve O'Dwyer, the aforementioned no.1, within the big blind. He three-bet to 9,000 and Pantling made the call.
The flop came the 8♣7♥J♥ and O'Dwyer check-called an 11,000 continuation bet. That brought us the J♠ at the turn, which both checked, leading to a T♠ river card. Now O'Dwyer led out for 24,000, which was enough to get the job done. --JS

With the €100,000 super high roller finishing yesterday, there will be a number of players searching for some more big action - particularly folks that hopped in Day 1A of the principle event. They now have an afternoon off before Day 2 on Monday, so what better technique to spend it than a €50,000 single-day tournament?
A few of these names who made it through and therefore have a while to kill include Team PokerStars Pros Jason Mercier and Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier, high stakes legend Patrik Antonius, PCA main event winner Mike Watson, Fedor Holz, Stephen Chidwick, Tobias Reinkemeier, and Faraz Jaka. You'll expect to peer numerous those names on this tournament.
Play starts at 12:30pm today. All players start with a 200,000 stack, and we can't stop playing until one person has the whole thing. It was Charlie Carrel who won the comparable to this tournament at EPT12 Dublin in February, but who would be the winner here today?
