WCOOP 2014 continues to focus on weekends on PokerStars

It's arguable what the only biggest highlight of the weekend was, but you would be hard pressed to seem beyond the general tables of Events #40 and #44 in WCOOP 2014.

Both featured the kind of fields that raise the curiosity of these at the rail, and both promised rich reward for those in a position to survive longest.

In the previous that was Jean-Pascal "hopezACE" Savard of Canada. He took the title within the $1,050 NL hold'em six-max, a kind of popular formats of the sport given its position because the standard game for plenty of online pros. A field of 1,156 players helped make Savard all of the more richer, his first prize of $193,630 being probably the most larger ones of WCOOP 2014.

That was before Belgian player OtB RedBaron won $224,000 within the $10,300 High Roller heads-up, a feat made much more notable by the those listed as his opposition, including four-time WCOOP winner Dan Kelly.
