When PokerStars first announced its entry into the regulated market of latest Jersey, probably the most questions about peoples' minds was how major online PokerStars events would translate to the sort of relatively small market, or in the event that they would exist at all.

PokerStars announced a definitive answer. They'll be bringing the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) back stateside with 27 events, each split right into a High and low buy-in for 54 tournaments total.

"It's awesome that [SCOOP is] coming to New Jersey in order that players within the region can experience the exciting tournament structures and the fun that incorporates chasing an incredible tournament title and large prize money," said PokerStars Team Pro Chris Moneymaker in an announcement. "I can’t wait to play within the first NJSCOOP and that i plan to stream most of my play live to tell the tale Twitch. I'D like to win a title in its debut year."

Traditionally, the inside track within the shared liquidity market has used a three-tiered buy-in system (Low, Medium, High) since its debut in 2009. It has traditionally been probably the most premier events in online poker, with a rich history that comes with a whole bunch high profile winners.

The stateside series will begin Sunday, May 15 and last two weeks, ending May 30. Buy-ins range from $10 to $1,000 and guarantees at the events total greater than $1 million. The principle Event kicks off May 29 and can be a two-day tournament with $50 (Low) and $500 (High) buy-ins that carry $30,000 and $200,000 guarantees, respectively. Take a look at the whole schedule here.

Satellites are already running, and there is good reason to play as many events as possible. As with the shared liquidity markets' SCOOP, PokerStars will run a Player of the Series leaderboard promotion during which players who profit events accumulate points. The player who piles up essentially the most will win a place on Team USA for the approaching Americas Cup of Poker, held live at Resorts Casino and Hotel in Atlantic City June 24-25. She or he may even get $2,000 in PokerStars tournament dollars. The highest 15 spots at the leaderboard will receive prizes, that you could view here.
