12:25am: Adam Owen eliminates Casey Kastle at the final hand to assert the chip leadLevel 22 - Blinds 10,000-20,000 (3,000 ante)
The chip lead changed hands at the final hand, indeed the general card of the day and whilst it's excellent news for Adam Owen it was bad luck for Casey Kastle.
He raised pre-flop with pocket tens and Owen flat called with A♦9♣. At the 9♦2♦4♣ flop Kastle check-raised all-in for 390,000 and Owen called. "I flatted pre-flop but still stacked off," said Owen after play had ended.
The 8♥ turn changed nothing, however the A♥ river gave Owen the pot and eliminated Kastle in 25th place. Owen climbs to 2,171,000, good for the full chip lead.
A full wrap of the times play may be at the way shortly. -- NW

12am: Finneran felts TsanevLevel 22 - Blinds 10,000-20,000 (3,000 ante)
Down to only 202,000, Nikolay Tsanev moved all-in from the small blind and, once you have a count, Thomas Finneran called from the large blind.
Tsanev: Q♠J♦Finneran: A♣3♦
The K♣9♣4♦5♠K♦ board sent Tsanev out in 29th place. Other players who've recently been eliminated include: Simon Nash (30th), Kevin Barden (31st), Paul Romain (32nd), Andras Korodi(34th), Nathan Gallagher (35th) and Heinz Traut (36th). --NW
Thomas Finneran, 800,000.
11:50pm: Killeen's back-to-back bid results in 33rd placeLevel 22 - Blinds 10,000-20,000 (3,000 ante)
The back-to-back UKIPT Dublin dream is over for defending champion Kevin Killeen. Short on chips he shoved from the small blind with T♠9♠ and Paul Michaelis put him in peril holding 7♦7♠.
After the 3♦5♣A♠ flop Killeen sensed the jig was up and got as much as leave. The 4♠ turn and 7♣ river couldn't save him and it means only one UKIPT champion - Thomas Finneran - remains on this tournament. --NW
Paul Michaelis, 1,400,000
11:40pm: Dufau's draw dents SchillhabelLevel 22 - Blinds 10,000-20,000 (3,000 ante)
A huge pot to inform you about now:
Jean Dufau opened to 52,000 from middle position, Stefan Schillhabel smooth called and Kevin Killeen - who had about 140,000 back considered his option from the massive blind but he eventually folded.
On the 6♣A♣Q♥ flop the entire chips went in with Dufau in danger for 530,000 total. He showed J♣T♣ for a gutshot straight draw + flush draw, whilst Schillhabel held A♦Q♠ for prime two pair. The 5♠ was a brick however the K♣ completed Dufau's flush and kept the Frenchman within the tournament. -- NW

11:40pm: Romain remains in itLevel 22 - Blinds 10,000-20,000 (3,000 ante)
It folded to Vladimir Velikov within the small blind and he set Paul Romain all-in for the Brit's final 125,000. Romain peaked down at J♥T♥ and called it off, but was behind to the A♦7♦ of Velikov.
"It flops well," says Romain as he waited for his fate to be dealt. The 5♣3♦J♠ backed up Romain's statement and his hand-held up at the 7♥ turn and 6♦ river. --NW

11:35pm: So sick for TrautLevel 22 - Blinds 10,000-20,000 (3,000 ante)
"So sick," shouted Heinz Traut up the steps to the pressroom, a short time after he was eliminated in 36h place.
He was holding 9♠9♦ and three-bet all in from the button after Stefan Schillhabel had opened from the cutoff. The latter called with K♣J♠ and got there on a board that ran 7♦3♦A♦6♥J♥. -- MC

11:15pm: Owen takes out two, reclaims chip leadLevel 21 - Blinds 8,000-16,000 (2,000 ante)
Adam Owen doesn't must worry about straddling the million-mark (for some time no less than anyway) after he eliminated two players in a single hand to reclaim the chip lead. Way to floor man Mike for filling the blog in at the basics of the hand.
Owen, Bart Lybaert and Mathieu Kuhne took to a 2♦8♦[4] flop where all three committed their stacks. Kuhne opened seven-eight off-suit, Lybaert showed pocket kings and Owen revealed a drawing A♦4♦. The turn bricked however the river was the 5♦ to make Owen the nut flush, to take his stack past 1.8million, leaving his two opponents at the rail. -- MC

11:05pm: McGrath and Monroe departLevel 21 - Blinds 8,000-16,000 (2,000 ante)
Not an even short time for Irish poker players whose surname beings with the letter M. First Henry McGrath busted, he was all in for roughly 175,000 with pocket queens but lost out to James Akenhead's pocket sevens. The WSOP November Niner flopped one seven and turned another. Death by quads!
The on a Q♠A♣2♦ flop Patrick Rooney bet 60,000 just for Kevin Monroe to check-raise all in for 330,000 in total. Rooney called with A♠J♥ and held against Monroe's A♥5♥ at the 8♥ turn and 6♥ river. Rooney is now the chip leader. --NW

11pm: Ace at the river kills RuzickaLevel 21 - Blinds 8,000-16,000 (2,000 ante)
Former EPT Deauville High Roller champion Vojtech Ruzicka winced a bit of when he saw a river card appear that ended his deep run.
He was right down to his last 195,000 when he moved all in from under the gun. Benjamin Saada was in middle position and was the one caller.
Ruzicka: T♦T♣Saada: A♣K♣
The board ran 6♥3♠Q♦6♣A♥ to pair the Frenchman's ace at the river. He who rose to 1.25million.
Neil Van Der Merwe joined Ruzicka at the rail a short time later. -- MC

Details have emerged about how Patrick Leonard busted before the break. A former tablemate of his says that he raised with king-queen and bet every street, including all in at the river. His opponent within the hand, David Pollock, hit a collection though and took all of the chips to soar past a million.
He's only a bluff machine
Another Brit, within the shape of Adam Owen, keeps straddling above and below the million mark. He made a fold with a large hand on this level instead of play out an enormous pot where he was probably flipping at best, and dropped to 900,000.
Neil Van Der Merwe opened to 35,000 from the hijack before Leonard three-bet to 77,000 from the following seat. Mahmood Rasheed was within the big blind and four-bet all in for a considerable 556,000. Van Der Merwe took his time before folding and that left Owen with a decision.
"You look really happy and also you haven't been giving much away today," he said to Rasheed.
"I have a very big hand here, will you show if I do?" Owen continued. Rasheed nodded and opened A♦K♠ when the Brit showed T♥T♦. -- MC

10:10pm: Tombs toppledLevel 20 - Blinds 6,000-12,000 (1,000 ante)

10:05pm: Carter can't comebackLevel 20 - Blinds 6,000-12,000 (1,000 ante)
As reported below Dan Carter was all the way down to only a handful of huge blinds, what's more he desperately needed the toilet, but couldn't afford to overlook a hand. Some might call that a leak (sorry). After folding his big blind he was all the way down to around 50,000. Vojtech Ruzicka shoved all in for approximately 70,000 from late position with A♦5♥, Carter looked down at A♣7♣ and likewise moved all in.
He looked on because the 3♣6♣9♠6♠A♠ board meant it was a chopped pot. "THIS TYPE OF tease," he said.
On the following hand he moved all in from the button with K♠7♠ and lost out to the massive blinds A♦T♥ to bust. -- NW
10pm: Clock called on BolvinLevel 20 - Blinds 6,000-12,000 (2,000 ante)
Thomas Boivin opened from under-the-gun, Vladas Burneikis smooth called from middle position and the large blind tagged along too.
On the 6♠K♠J♣ flop Bolvin bet 48,000 and Burneikis was the one caller. At the 8♦ turn Bolvin bet again, this time 92,000 and again Burneikis smooth called. The A♥ river was an enchanting card and Bolvin checked it over to Burneikis who fired out 140,000.
Bolvin went into the tank and he stayed there for thus long two players busted out on other tables whilst he tanked (more on those exits to come).
Eventually the clock was called and as time ticked down all Bolvin said was: "Don't show me," the clock hit zero and his hand was dead. Burneikis showed Q♠J♠ for a flush draw and pair that rivered broadway. - NW

9:45pm: A double over here, and a double over thereLevel 20 - Blinds 6,000-12,000 (2,000 ante)Benjamin Saada and Bart Lybaert were both recent beneficiaries of double ups, via Dan Carter and Quentin Dellis.
James Akenhead, Carter and Saada all took to a 7♠9♠A♦ flop where the previous bet 42,000 from the cutoff. Carter called at the button but Saada check-raised all in for 285,000 from the large blind. Akenhead folded but Carter called with A♠J♦, behind to his opponent's A♥7♣. The board ran out 6♥5♦. Carter dropped to 86,000.
Lybaert three-bet all in for 182,000 after Dellis had opened. Dellis snap called with K♠K♥ but couldn't stay prior to Lybaert's A♠J♥ on a Q♠3♣8♦A♣6♥ board. -- MC
9:25pm: Act like you have been here beforeLevel 20 - Blinds 6,000-12,000 (2,000 ante)
As well as having a few UKIPT champions still within the mix there are a pair more who've been to the general table of a UKIPT but not managed to move all of the way.
There are, we think, just two players who fit that description left within the field. There's Dan Carter (350,000), who final table Coventry long ago in Season 1. He finished fourth there, collecting £12,700.
Whilst Jeffrey Brouwer (660,000) made his final table way more recently, finishing seventh, good for €20,100. -- NW

9:15pm: Slow rolled?Level 20 - Blinds 6,000-12,000 (2,000 ante)
No one is actually every happy once they get eliminated from a poker tournament but Dario Cannistra was particularly upset because he thought that Jean Dufau had slowrolled him.
In the hand in question Cannistra shoved for around 145,000 from the small blind with A♠4♣ and Defau called with T♣T♦. A Q♦7♥T♥8♦5♥ proving pretty decisive. -NW

9:08pm: Owen doesn't pull the trigger at the riverLevel 20 - Blinds 6,000-12,000 (2,000 ante)
Adam Owen could has been the primary player to pass the million-chip mark but he's dipped back below that once losing a large pot to Paul Michaelis.
Around 350,000 chips sat piled within the table's centre waiting to be claimed. The board read 2♣2♥Q♥8♣5♦ and Michaelis checked from the hijack. Owen was within the cutoff and took his time before he checked behind. Michaelis declared two pair and opened 6♥6♠. Owen said it was good and sent his cards to the muck. -- MC

9pm: Brouwer checks quads in three-way potJeffrey Brouwer sneakily checked quads in a three-way pot, hoping James Akenhead would fire in position like he did at the turn. He didn't.
At that turn stage the board read 4♣K♥3♠K♠ and Dan Carter (small blind) and Brouwer (middle position) checked to Akenhead at the button who fired 42,000 on the pot. Both opponents called to the K♦ river that was checked through.

The latter was right down to just three big blinds, and within the big blind, when Velikov set him all in from the small blind. The hands, and board run out, actually turned out to be very interesting, although not more action could take place.

"King-queen into ace-queen," was Giovanni Cantatore's succinct description of ways he busted the UKIPT Main Event. To offer it some context, the Italian had got it in on a queen high, two heart flop against Patrick Rooney's A♥Q♣ and missed at the Q♠ turn and 6♥ river.--NW
