2009 WSOP Main Event Right down to The November Nine

In the wee hours of the morning, the coveted spots so one can fill the overall Table of the 2009 WSOP Texas Hold’em Main Event Tournament, were determined. This Final Table is otherwise referred to as the November Nine and reported by some because the most talented Main Event Table in years. Listed below are the overall Nine, who made it through over 10 days of grueling poker and thru 6,485 other poker hopefuls.

Darvin Moon: who’s play have been remarkable during the last three days, being the chip leader on the end of every day. For the following four months he's going to reign because the Main Event chip leader with 58,930,000 chips. That is 24M greater than the 2nd position chip holder.

Eric Buchman: NY born, and in 1980 no less, was playing in Circuit and WSOP tournaments since 2003 and has placed within the money 18 times. His latest place was on this years Event #25 – $2500 Omaha/Seven Card Stud HL/8 or Better Tournament, where he finished 6th. Buchman, started yesterdays play with about 10M in chips and made it turn out to be the 2nd position chip lead, with 34,800,000 in chips.

Steven Begleiter: started yesterday nicely with 11.8M+ in chips and climbed early, then took a beating in a single hand with Ben Lamb. Begleiter stayed focused and regained his momentum and let’s just say, Begleiter is here and Lamb isn't. Steven finished yesterday with 29,885,000 in chips.

Jeff Shulman: Shulman isn't any stranger to entering WSOP tournaments. Shulman was in 15 WSOP tournaments dating back to 2000, where he finished 3rd in a charity event. His most up-to-date place was back in 2007, in Event#25-$2K NL Hold’em, where he finished 69th. Jeff started yesterday with 10.1M+ in chips and he too had an enormous chunk of his stack taken in the course of the day from Joe Cada, but continued to chip up inside the day, ending it with 19,580,000.

Joseph Cada: Is that this kid even sufficiently old to play? That is Joseph’s first year playing within the WSOP tournaments, but this probably might not be his last. This year alone he placed within the profit two events. In Event#34-$1500 NL Hold’em, Cada finished 17th. He started yesterday with 6.5M+ and had an overly busy day doubling to complete with 13,215,000. Very Nice.

Kevin Schaffel: Coral Springs, Fl., that is west of Fort Lauderdale, Fl. Rumored to be quite the golfer, but today and thru the tournament has had the swing of items. Schaffel, attempted last years Main Event and finished within the money at 324th place, but have been apart of many circuit and other WSOP events in past years. Schaffel started yesterday with an excellent 11.2M+, late within the day Billy Kopp tried to bully Schaffel, but Schaffel outlasted Kopp and finished with 12,390,000.

Phil Ivey: What can’t we are saying about this guy? Seven Bracelets, 38 circuit and WSOP cashes. One of the crucial recognizable poker players and over all like-able guys. Ivey, worked his tail off through this tournament and a few how always manged to stick right in the course of the pack. It is going to be interesting to peer if this PRO can rise to the occasion in November. Ivey started yesterday with 11.3M+ and finished down, but on the Final Table with 9,765,000.

Antoine Saout: started the yesterday with 11.1M+. Saout continued to complete strong within the previous few days of play. Although he's down on the end of Day 8, don't say he's out. He tournament to this point is impressive and he rests within the 8th spot with 9,500,000.

James Akenhead: The bloke was late yesterday morning, but perhaps that extra little while of beauty rest proved to be something magical. Akenhead appeared in two WSOP events last year, Event#2-$1500 NL Hold’em, he finished 2nd to Grant Hinkle. Akenhead started yesterday in middle pack, but against all odds and a crazy day of play managed to hold on with only 6,800,000 in chips, which happens to be 52,000,000 not up to the chip leader.

Yesterday was one of the most happiest days for all of those remarkable poker players. Some new to the WSOP and a few established players, but all remarkable. Out of the 27 that started yesterday, a couple of that perished were Antonio Esfandiari, Billy Kopp, and Leo Margets. Esfandiari, great player. Kopp, excellent tournament, but burn out on the end. Leo Margets, 27th place and quite a girl.

The 2009 WSOP Main Event will resume in November, with dates in the course of the 7th-10th. Will Moon see stars? Will Ivey finally get the primary Event Bracelet? Can the Golfer swing into 1st? Or will the boy become a person winning his first bracelet? The entire action might be happening this November. See you there!
