Finish your summer widespread at FPS SunFest Cannes (23-29 September)

Don't let the sun go down to your summer. There is a €250,000 guaranteed France Poker Series (FPS) tournament happening at the high rolling French Riviera this September. It is the perfect solution to wind up the season, taking in some late summer sun at the coast at the PokerStars beach before going back into the Pullman Cannes Mandelieu Royal Casino to smash up the opposition.

Online satellites can be found everyday on PokerStars.fr and PokerStars.com, you can find by clicking 'Events' > 'More' > 'FPS'. We asked Team PokerStars Pro Julien Brécard why (with the exception of the €250,000 guarantee and chunky festival schedule - see below) you need to attempt to qualify for the €1,100 tournament.

"Cannes is among the best cities in France to play poker. There are lots of players that love to play mid and high stakes, and that i think we will be able to expect greater than 400 players to show up. In September, the elements is actually nice and we can visit the personal beach Pokerstars rents for the festival. I ACTUALLY love playing the FPS, the ambience is so special and very great. I BELIEVE some players come for the partying up to they arrive for the tournament!" said Brécard.

And if that wasn't enough incentive, then how's about getting some easy methods to tackle his countrymen?

"French live players tend to be 40+. They love playing deep and so they will also be very hard to play after they have big stack. They prefer to peer lot of flops and likewise a large number of turns to allow them to be tough to bluff. From my point of view, their leaks are especially once they are below 30 big blinds, because a large number of them think they play the similar pace as when deep-stacked. I MIGHT recommend playing a large number of hands while you cover them but make sure that you might have an actual hand if you find yourself covered. Allow them to bluff when you've got strong hands even supposing sometimes means you miss some value," he said.

And if that wasn't enough...

"Good luck and the primary beer is on me in the event you come to Cannes!"
