Qualifiers for the highly popular World Cup of Poker start this weekend so when you just like the idea of playing to your country in a live two-day tournament within the Bahamas, on the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure no less, then clear your schedule. Players from Peru were glad that they did last year. They claimed the cup, $90,000 between them and the vacation of an entire life besides. It is a hell of a narrative to inform the grand-kids.
Eight qualifying groups such as 72 countries in total (including a 'rest of the world' team in order that no-one is overlooked) will play four qualifying tournaments apiece at the 11, 12, 18 and 19 August with the top finisher from each country picking up points. The more entries out of your homeland the easier the risk you will have of having your nation through so tap up all of your friends to sign up for within the $2.20 No Limit Hold'em Super Knockout tournaments.
The highest scoring team in each group will then bring four qualifiers through to the general through four qualifying tournaments at the 26 August.

Each team may be designated a team captain who they'll join on the Atlantis resort and hotel, where flights and accommodation may be paid for by Pokerstars. Those eight teams will meet one among Spain, Italy or France who will compete separately for a spot within the live final.
