The Gaming Standards Association (GSA), a number one standards-setting body for the gaming industry, will hold a two-day workshop in London on 16 & 17 September to facilitate collaboration between the gaming industry and policy domain leaders.
The workshop, titled “Building Bridges,” may be held on the Hilton London Paddington Hotel. Participants will hear updates about GSA’s Online Gaming Committee (OGC) work and draft standard, hearken to regulators and discuss together the role GSA standards can play within the online gaming space. An abbreviated example of the web gaming standard might be distributed exclusively to attendees.
“This workshop is a critically important event as we discuss and debate the present situation and the way forward for iGaming in Europe from a technical standards perspective,” said Peter DeRaedt, president of GSA in a prepared statement. “The European market is thought of as the most important marketplace for iGaming worldwide. Even discounting the effect of the gradual market opening within the U.S., Europe’s leadership remains uncertain because of the national segmentation of the ecu market and multi-layer compliance burdens this brings at the gaming industry. GSA is in a singular position to create and stage events reminiscent of this, and we invite stakeholders within the industry to wait and take part in the talk which will shape the brand new online gaming standards.”
The workshop is open to GSA members and non-members alike from Europe and the remainder of the arena. Participants will hear gaming industry regulators talk about the present issues they face. Regulators also are invited to wait and will expect a highly informative session, where they're going to hear about possible technical solutions to their challenges and having an enhanced capability to reach their policy objectives.
