PokerCent's License Suspended by the uk Gambling Commission

On Aug. 29, the United Kindgom Gambling Commission (UKGC) decided to suspend the gambling license held by Silverline Interactiv Technologies Plc, the corporate that runs the independent poker site PokerCent.

The decision was announced with a note published at the UKGC's official website.

According to the regulator, the suspension came after the commission ordered a review of the operator's activities. "WE'RE concerned the licensee is working in a fashion which isn't in step with the licensing objectives in regard to making sure that gambling is conducted in an excellent and open manner," the commission said.

To trigger the regulator's attention was the complaint of a player who claimed that he had not been capable of withdraw funds from his account, and had also accused the room to have a poor and non-cooperative customer service.

Initially awarded with a favorable review, PokerCent was taken off the entire rankings published on PokerNews a month before the UKGC decided to suspend its license.

Although we have now been positively impressed by the room's software, the complaints we've received from our players and the truth that the room breached their display contract with our site convinced us to not promote their services any longer.

PokerCent, however, seems confident that the UKGC will soon let them come again online and restart offering online poker games. In keeping with an announcement published at the room's website, the suspension is because of the truth that the regulator asked additional information in regards to the room's software certificate, and this could allow PokerCent to restart their operations in lower than a month.

"The Gambling Commission of the United Kingdom, that's the provider of our gaming license has requested a brand new certificate for the gaming software," PokerCent wrote in a statement.

Because the regulation enforces the poker site to not operate throughout the time of testing, PokerCent believes that regular operations will restart on Oct. 1, 2014.

If you had an account at PokerCent and also you don't need to attend until Oct. 1 to find for those who can be in a position to sit on the tables again, the room has arrange a unique procedure for withdrawals and refunds.

In order to withdraw the cash available in your PokerCent account, all it's important to do is contact the poker room's customer service via email at support@pokercent.com or use the live chat available at the room's website.
